Weight Loss

Our goal is to give you the tools to assist you in your journey to develop a healthy lifestyle. Short term goals such as weight loss are part of the equation. In some cases, B12 or micronutrients, such as in the Fat Burning Shot are very important in meeting your short term goals. Other cases may need to focus on stress reduction along with healthy sleep habits. Telehealth visits are available for those who cannot make each appointment in person. We also recommend meal planning, increased water intake, a fitness exercise program, healthy sleep habits and setting realistic achievable goals for a sustainable lifestyle that you can integrate into your daily life.

We look forward to being a part of your journey to becoming the best version of YOU.

Energy Shots

The benefits of B12 shots are most pronounced in those with a B12 deficiency. So, who is most at risk for developing this deficiency? Some of the biggest risk factors for B12 deficiency are vegetarian/vegan diets, pregnancy/breastfeeding, and aging. The National Institute of Health states that aging can make it more difficult for the body to break down and absorb B12. For more information on Energy Shots, the link here.

Exercise

According to the American Heart Association, only about one in five adults and teens get enough exercise to maintain good health. Being more active can help all people think, feel and sleep better as well as perform daily tasks more easily. If you’re sedentary, sitting less is a great place to start. We recommend 30 minutes of moderate heart pumping activity (ie brisk walk) per day spread out over 5 days per week. For further recommendations, click here.

Fat Burning Shots

We have two types of Fat Burning Injections at DSI. These are intended to complement other aspects of a weight loss regimen, including exercise and a low-calorie diet. One of the two types can decrease appetite by delaying gastric emptying while the other boosts micronutrients, called MIC. MIC stands for Methionine, Inositol, and Choline. A powerful combination that promotes the metabolism of fat in the liver, prevents cholesterol buildup in blood vessels and is also associated with proper insulin function and carbohydrate digestion to assist patients with weight loss by boosting your metabolism, increasing your body’s fat burning mechanisms and provide you with the energy you need to lose weight fast. Vitamin B12 can be used with MIC and the other fat burning shot to enhance weight loss and fat metabolism. For more information on fat burning shots, click here.

Meal Planning

Most everyone has a busy life these days. It has become too easy and convenient to order out or visit the local fast-food drive-thru. Knowing how many calories you are burning and eating are vital if you’re looking to lose excess pounds and maintain a healthy weight. To do this, consider meal plans that you prepare in advance. We recommend one day per week, plan and prepare all of your meals for the days ahead. For instance, you take time on a Sunday to make and package the meals you plan to eat for the rest of the week. By planning your meals ahead of time, you always know how many calories you’re eating at each meal. You also have the added convenience of having a healthy meal readily available when you are ready to eat. This will hopefully decrease takeout orders or unhealthy food intake when you’re hungry or on the go. Incorporating regular meal preparation into your schedule often keeps people on their healthy diet to achieve their desired results.

Don’t forget, weight loss burns calories and requires water. People who aren’t drinking enough water throughout the day may find it increasingly difficult to lose weight effectively. Consider filling up a sports bottle with water and keep one or two in your refrigerator. Bring one with you wherever you go every time you leave your home and stay hydrated!
