Microdermabrasion is an office procedure that exfoliates and removes the most external layer of the epidermis. This procedure utilizes a precise instrument with an abrasive tip to level the outer layer and improve rejuvenation. Microdermabrasion is safe on all ages and skin types and stimulates collagen to improve complexion and pigmentation.
-Safe on all skin types/tones
-Improves skin pigmentation
-Improve skin texture
-Reduce or eliminate blackheads
-Reduce or eliminate fine lines, scars, and stretch marks
How do I get the most out of microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion removes the stratum corneum and stimulates the deeper layers, improving collagen fine lines and discoloration. Since the procedure is minimally invasive, results are optimized in a series. For best results, we recommend at least 4 treatments but benefits typically continue to improve up to about 12 treatments. Depending on your skin type and condition, we typically recommend treatments either weekly, every two weeks, or monthly until the treatment goal is obtained.
Are there any side effects?
Possibly, but side effects are unlikely. While the procedure is minimally invasive, there may be redness or mild swelling. This will resolve. Usually redness or swelling does not occur, but when it does, it will usually resolve in the first few days after the procedure. For this reason, we always recommend that ALL cosmetic procedures should be done at least 2 weeks or more before any major social events, such as weddings, birthdays, and graduations, etc. Moisturize your skin and use sunscreen daily to further optimize your results.
