Gently peel back time by removing the outer damaged layers of skin. Chemical peels are exogenous solutions applied to treatment area to improve appearance. Our chemical peels are selected and tailored to remove damaged skin cells in very particular concentrations and are performed in layers to ensure a personalized experience. We use many possible active ingredients pending on your skin type and status. Some of our peels will have minimal peeling but brighten the skin or improve acne. Other more aggressive peels will result in desquamation for three to five days depending upon the treatment goal of the individual. Chemical peels can minimize fine lines, improve scarring, soften blemishes, lighten sunspots or freckles, improve uneven pigmentation, freckles, treat precancerous growths and improve collagen synthesis.

DSI Signature Peel

This is our most gentle chemical peel, available for all patients. Even patients with the most sensitive skin, such as Rosacea, can safely benefit from this procedure.  The Signature Peel utilizes Trichloroacetic Acid and Lactic Acid and slowly peels the stratum corneum, typically without obvious desquamation. Some clinics have referred this combination of ingredients as the ‘no peel’ peel. This procedure is often completed as a ‘lunch time’ peel as there is no clinical peeling or flaking. You can return to work that very same day but sun protection is critical. There is improvement over the next few weeks with no initial down time. The signature peel works very well with gentle skin care regimens, please increase your emollient usage for the next two weeks and avoid fragrances or possible irritants. To further maximize your results, consider the ‘hydrofacial’ procedure. The Signature Peel will improve surface texture and brighten the skin. Clients can return to work the same day.

Ultra Peel

Specially formulated to treat maturing skin or mild acne scars but may be appropriate for many other skin types, conditions, and sensitivities. The Ultra peel utilizes moderate concentrations of Trichloroacetic Acid, Latic Acid, Alphalipoic Acid TC, Emblica, & Silymarin. It is more aggressive formulation than the signature peel with strong anti-oxidants to ensure more peeling which will result in greater improvements in collagen while promoting an even skin tone and clear complexion. Some peeling is expected but you can return to work the same day.

Teen Peel

This peel will use higher salicylic acid concentrations than topical preparations to gently assist with tone and complexion but even treats mild acne and light brown post-acne discoloration. It is designed for teens with more sensitive skin which can improve acne, tone, and overall complexion. Young skin is ideal for this procedure since there is typically no significant photo damage. Teens can return to their activities. Expect minimal erythema or peeling but improvement in complexion, tone and acne.

Acne Peel

The ‘Acne Peel’ is more robust than the ‘Teen Peel’. In fact, it is the highest concentrated form of salicylic acid variations. It is typically used for moderate acne but can be used on mild acne with brown hyperpigmentation or mild acne with mild to moderate photo-damage to improve complexion, texture, and tone. There is a frosting noted and mild peeling but the patient can return to normal activities.

Hyperpigmentation Peel

The focus of this peel is discoloration, whether the cause is from freckling, acne, hormones or sun damage. This procedure is designed to improve post inflammatory pigment alteration as well. Pending on your skin type, there are two versions we deploy. Let us know if you have sensitivity to hydroquinone if we need to customize this peel for you. This peel helps promote an even skin tone, assists in clearing complexion with the primary goal to improve dyspigmentation and clients can return to work or school the same day.

Retinol Peel

Retinol is the most important aspect of this peel and has arguably the most significant amount of medical research of all skin care ingredients. Some have called Retinol, the ‘fountain of youth’ in a bottle. There are also anti-oxidants in this formulation to calm and soothe the skin which aids in avoiding the ‘spicy feel’ that many other peels possess. This peel utilizes a potent formulation of Vitamin A to ensure cell turn over with minimal irritation although some mild peeling is expected. This peel will remove damaged cells, soften fine lines, refresh the skin and brighten the skin appearance. I

Medium Depth Peel

This peel is guaranteed to peel back years of photo damage to rejuvenate all aspects of the overall skin appearance. There will be improvement in skin tone, texture, sun spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. The medium depth peel requires an in person consultation and most people need at least 3 days of down-time but some people continue to exfoliate for up to a full week. The desquamation removes the damaged skin which is replaced by healthy vibrant skin cells. With a more aggressive peel there is even more amazing results! Multiple medical literature articles cite extensive collagen formation, improvement in scars, complexion, skin tone, and a decrease in epidermal growths including sun spots, seborrheic keratoses, and even precancerous tumors!
